ATTENDANCE

Dance involves progressive learning and regular attendance is essential to a student’s progress. Please call the studio to let us know if you or your student is going to miss a class. This becomes especially important when we are preparing for performances and recitals. If a student misses two consecutive classes a phone call will be made. If a student has 3 or more consecutive absences a parent meeting will be scheduled. Chronic absences may result in a student being pulled from their recital piece(s) and/or class

Note: Elyon’s School of Dance will NOT give refunds for missed classes and tuition is due on the 1st of each month, in full, regardless of attendance.

TARDINESS, DROP OFF & PICK UP

Pre-School students may not be dropped off. A parent/guardian must stay on the premises at all times. Please make every effort to have your student to class on time (10 minutes before class) and pick up as soon as class time is over. We at Elyon’s School of Dance are not responsible for students being dropped off early (before class begins) and students who are picked up late (after class ends). If a student arrives 15 minutes late after the start of class, he/she will not be able to participate in the class, but can observe the class. 3 tardies will count as 1 absence. For safety reasons, it is very important that students come on time to participate in the class warm up. It is highly disruptive to instructors and the class to have to review missed information for one late student.

WITHDRAWALS

Withdrawals must be given in writing 1 month prior to withdrawal date . If notification has not been given, billing will continue until the account is properly closed. No refund after class session begins or after the student begins classes. Please remember class space has been reserved for each student.

Note: Registration, Recital, and Costume Fees will not be refunded.

ENROLLMENTS & CHARGES

Students who register during late registration have 2 weeks from date of registration to make any adjustments to their schedule. Changes must be approved by the Director.

Note: In November we will begin ordering costumes for each class and must have final class lists by January.

PAYMENTS

Monthly tuition is due by the 1st of each month. Payments made after the 5-day grace period will incur a $15 late fee.

ALL accounts must be brought to a “0” balance for recital participation. Students are not permitted to skip months, thus skipping a monthly tuition payment. If you must skip, you will need to withdraw from the program and re-enroll (depending on class availability) at a later time. Any account 30 days overdue may be dropped. There is a $35 charge for All returned checks. Anyone having a total of two (2) checks re turned for insufficient funds will be asked to pay from thereafter by credit card, cash or money order.

CLOSINGS

Elyon’s School of Dance will not follow a certain school system for weather related closings. In the case of stormy or wintery weather, an email will be sent out by our front office. An announcement will also be pos ted on the Studio’s Facebook and Instagram page. Always use your own discretion for safety!
